My name is Valentine Wanamaker and I am currently a mid-level game designer at ArenaNet doing combat design on Guild Wars 2.

I have gained 4+ years of professional experience as a designer and 8+ years of experience making / designing games. 4 out of those 8 years I was at the NYU Game Center where I studied the most modern practices of designing and creating games at an Indie and AAA level.

In addition to ArenaNet, I have done game design work for AdHoc Studio, Disney, Riot Games, Googe Stadia, several indie studios, entertainment companies, and non-game industry companies.

I have also pitched games / interactive experiences to Activision, Black Bird Interactive, Google, and more.

My niche has become multiplayer game design, but I have worked on many kinds of games from an experimental FPS to a narrative game with ex-Telltale directors.
